Inspirations
Fashion photographers

Julia Hetta: Her photos could be confused for Rembrandt painting. She exclusively uses natural light most of the time. She calls hers a romantic person. In her portfolio, it often features, soft light, and models that look like they live in an alternative universe. I am inspired by the optics she uses. Her photos demonstrate great contrast, black and white tones and choice of angles. I really like the ways she makes the models to look very still and peaceful. Her images represent women's blandness. The slim posture of the models is shown in her photos. She is a very special photography artist that I really like.
Daniel Jackson: He graduated with a degree in sculpture. It is perhaps his knowledge of shapes that has helped him light his models in the most flattering ways possible. His picture shows the wild side of women. The models are mostly in very masculine and has a very solid face contour lines. His photos often has the faces centred and a dark background. I love how he capture the models facial expressions. Even though his photos are mainly magazine front covers, but he has done an amazing job to portray the outline of the faces.
Lara Jade: She discovered her interest in photography at the age of 14. She started posting self-portraits and photos of others. She is good at taking photos of fashion clothing and also herself. She likes to use bright colours and her photos always make the audience feel positive. I am inspired from how she tones her pictures and how to shoot in different angles. Her photos has more actions in them which make them look more lively.
Lingsiao Kao - A potential photographer
Kao is a really great friend of mine. We have known each other for ten years. He is now studying in the University of Queensland. He started photo-graphing about three years ago, followed after his mother who is obsessed with photography and has opened her own studio in Shanghai recently.
As a close friend of Kao, I have seen the evolution of his techniques and style. Kao started to take photos of the beautiful view of Australia and Shanghai. He drove three hours with his friends once to shoot the star trails. Soon, he began to observe the Australian's way of life and showed strong ability on applying contrast, alignment and exposure. Nowadays, he gets inspired by the famous war photographer, Eddie Adams, who took the astonishing picture of an execution in Saigon. Kao hopes that the pictures he take can expose the on-going social issues. He wants the audience to think about those issues from his shootings. Hw is now defining himself as a documentary photographer. He uses his perspective annd background to "tell" the stories from his own point of view.
If you are interested in Kao's photography, you can follow him on Instagram @linghs.k or to visit his website here.
