My Creative Process
My word of the year is Diversity. It is a word that is talking a lot in the society these years. Wether the cultural diversity or the life style diversities, our lives are full of differences, and so do I. I hope in this year and the years following, my mindset can be broader and have some unique opinions created by my own. The word diversity consists of 9 letters, the length is perfect for me to write the words out in a very smooth flow of lines.

Above is my final version of my creative word, diversity. The font I pick is modified from the hollow "Impact". I added some "ears" to the original font to make the word look more funky and different. I wrote each letter out on a white cardboard paper, then I cut them out and arrange them levelled. I drew to black people on the letter D and R. They are the highlight of this artwork. They welcome the audience of this drawing to be more diverse in the way they want to. At the back of the word, there are two colour blocks, a black one and a neon yellow one. They are exactly the same size, but they are placed oppose to each other. I think sometimes diversity is when different elements clash together to form a mutual relationship. That is why I carved to blocks from my colour papers.
My word design is simple instead of fancy. I like to keep it minimal, so that the actual word can stand out. Among everything I did for this image, I hope the audience can see my effort on the work and put an emphasis on Diversity, which is my word of the year.
