A poem to my fellow graduates...
Four years of friendship,
Four years of attachment,
Four years of hardworking days and nights,
Four years of heart-to-heart.
With the coming of Graduation,
Is about to end all the ups and downs of the past years,
Leaving only good memories and happiness.
My dear friend, please don’t be sad,
After parting we should cherish each other.
Blooming the most brilliant smile,
Give tomorrow a better dream.
My dear friend, please have a hug,
From now on we’re going our separate ways.
No matter how far the future is,
There are you and me on the way to growth.
With the coming of Graduation,
Be brave to chase our own dreams,
And remember our promises.

This piece of work is to my fellow graduates, especially those who I am close with. I have written a poem that is placed in the middle of my drawing. It summarizes my thoughts to the past four years. Because of covid, I haven’t seen many people in person for more than a year. This poem expresses what I want to say to everyone in my grade in words. I hope this piece is a staple in my house that it can hang on my wall forever for me to see, to recall my high school years. The leaves surrounding the poem is a type of bamboo calls monstera deliciosa. I like it a lot because its leaves are splitted apart. It is very loose and it gives people a free vibe. I use many papers in different textures and colours to cut out the shape of the bamboo leaves so that the entire canvas board is filled with greens, make my artwork look lively and vivid.
